Art Workshops in Italy: July 22-August 12, 2008
The Art Travel Program at Lake Como
This three-week workshop offers drawing, watercolor, and oil or acrylic painting classes designed for students with prior experience in art. Instructional classes will be held five days each week either in the mornings or afternoons in classrooms or out in the surrounding landscape. All students may work in open studios from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. We offer a semi-private studio for the professional or advanced student capable of self directed work. Art theory and history lectures, as well as faculty demonstrations, will be part of our learning experience.
We are housed in a lovely air-conditioned four-star hotel, with English speaking concierge, cable television and a telephone in each room. The hotel and studios are located on the lakefront in the town of Menaggio. Spouses may accompany the student sharing their room for any length of time as a non-studio participant, paying a reduced fee. At the end of the program, artists are invited to participate in a group exhibition.
