| Serene surroundings and a thousand years of history to inspire
We found a charming newly renovated chateau in the Savoie and Haute-Savoie, of the Rhone Alps region of France. It is one hour from Geneva and two hours from Paris.
The Chateau was originally built by Benedictine monks in 1032 AD. Since its construction it was transformed into a chateau and changed hands three times before settling into the hands of its current owners, who have completely restored the castle, preserving its architectural integrity while bringing a modern charm to its atmosphere.
The chateau is owned by an artist and comes with a beautiful painting studio and a private screening room with over 500 films to choose from.
It sits on 17 acres of farmland - vineyards, a lake and surrounded by hills. It is a beautiful building and landscape.
