ArTravel: Painting Workshop In France
Painting & Drawing At The Chateau
I don’t know about you, but I'm ready to travel. So let’s go paint in France!

This year, ArTravel presents the Brentwood Art Center Travel Program Painting Workshop in a one thousand year old chateau in the Rhone Alps of France, just one hour from Geneva and two hours from Paris.

The Chateau was originally built by Benedictine monks in 1032 AD. Since its construction it was transformed into a chateau and changed hands three times before settling into the hands of its current owners, who have completely restored the castle, preserving its architectural integrity while bringing a modern charm to its atmosphere.

The chateau is owned by an artist and comes with a beautiful painting studio and a private screening room with over 500 films to choose from.  It sits on 17 acres of farmland - vineyards, a lake and surrounded by hills. It is a beautiful building and landscape.

We would love for everyone to participate, but this chateau only has 10 bedrooms, each with its own beautifully appointed bathroom.  Available for students are 9 rooms; two rooms are doubles with two beds, the other 7 have one full size/queen bed.

Instruction is available in both oil, acrylic or watercolor painting. For advanced students or professional artists capable of self-motivation, an Independent Artists Program is available. This is the fifteenth year of our art travel summer program in Europe.
